El Nido, Part #2

Hello dear friends,

We are still in the wonderful El-Nido in the island on Palawan, spending out last night before heading for Puerto Princesa, and from there to Manila and then Hong Kong.

The past few days were so much fun. We decided to try to dive. El Nido is packed with beautiful diving sites (and diving schools), so we found out that there is a way to take a small course called "discovering scuba diving" in which a guide guides you through two dives, after explaining the basics of diving. We went ahead and did it! Here are the pictures:

We have also found out that our boatman went to Mekif Yehud...

After that very exciting day where we saw countless species of fish and even a sea turtle (!), we asked if we could squeeze some more diving experiences in the remaining four days we had in El Nido. The answer was we could take up the "Open Water Diver Course" (which is like a 1-star course in Israel) where the dives we already did will count for he course. So, we did some theory the next day, 3 more dives the day after that, a final exam (98! Atuda nerdness kavod!) and we got certified!
It was such a great experience also because it wasn't planned. We were so glad that we tried a bit, liked it, and went for the course.
I'm sure that in the future I will complete the second star. Maybe Dana will also...
We also had our picture taken underwater at this day by a Chinese girl who promised to e-mail the pictures to us, but they have yet to arrive... We hope they will, someday...

The next day we were beaten from the diving and the test, so we just stayed in (for some reason, taking a day off seems legitimate only if you stay a long time in the same place...). Today we went to another island hopping tour (tour "C"), which was great:

All in all, we will be back in a week.
See you soon!
